Does the app support tablets?

To Get Stamps and Stamp Cards

How can I get a new stamp card?

If you go to a shop where you do not have a stamp card and scan the QR code posted in the shop with your stampman app, a new stamp card will be automatically created and you will get your first stamp.

Can I get multiple stamps at once?

You can get one stamp per QR code scan. Even if you scan continuously, you may not be able to obtain the next stamp for a certain period of time depending on the shop’s preset policy. (By default, it cannot be earned continuously for 2 hours)

How many stamps can I keep?

You can keep up to 5 to 40 items. The maximum number is preset by each shop’s policy.

Is there an expiration date for the stamp card?

The expiration date is preset by each shop (specified period from the first stamp acquisition date). 
Once the expiration date has expired, you will no longer be able to acquire new stamps or consume stamps.

What happens to the stamps if the shop permanently closes ?

If a shop owner deletes the store registration on the Stampman app, all the stamp cards issued associated to the shop will be deleted accordingly. If the shop owner does not delete the registration by the end of the subscription, the shop registration and associated stamp cards will be automatically deleted after a certain period of time.

What will happen to the stamps if I change my smartphone or reinstall the app?

On iOS, acquired stamp cards and stamps will be lost. However, you can restore them with your ID by saving the “Your ID” displayed in the “Tipsr” menu of the app in advance and re-registering your ID from the “Tips” menu of the newly installed app. 
On Android, the behavior depends on the smartphone model and OS, and stamp cards and stamps may or may not disappear. Therefore, just like iOS, you can save “Your ID” and restore it after reinstalling to continue using it.

How do I consume my stamps and redeem benefits?

There is a dedicated QR code for consuming stamps at the shop. You can consume stamps by presenting your stamp card to the shop staff and scanning the dedicated QR code presented by the shop staff with your app. (After the animation and sound effects, a confirmation screen will appear and then a stamp usage certification screen will be displayed.) How can I find out what benefits I can get by consuming stamps?

The offering (number of stamps consumed and benefits) are preset by each shop owner. Please check the information from the message displayed on the stamp card or ask the shop staff.

Even if the stamps are not full, can I redeem benefits?

It depends of each shop’s policy. For example, if a shop can support a maximum number of stamps: 20 and a current number of stamps: 5, and there is a benefit that can be used with 3 stamps, 3 stamps will be consumed and only 2 stamps left.

Can I have multiple cards for one store?

Not supported.

Can I set my own card design and sound effects?

Tap the target card from the card list screen of the app to transition to the “Card Preview” screen. By tapping “Card Preferences” at the bottom of this screen, you can change the following elements to make them your own. 
“Card design (background texture)” “Stamp design” “Stamp sound effect”

Does the app collect personal information?

This app does not collect any personal information from users. Please check our privacy policy for more details 

Are there any in-app advertisements or redirects to harmful sites?

None. However, if content that violates the Terms of Service is posted in the store information set by the shop owner, we may take measures such as deletion or correction based on the user’s report.

Can the app be used in countries and regions other than Japan?

Available. However, the distribution area (locale) of the app is limited to Japan and some English-speaking countries or regions on the Play Store or App Store.

How to pay and cancel purchases

Processed in accordance with Play Store or App Store terms of use. 
To cancel, please access the Play Store app for Android, or the OS settings menu for iPhone, rather than within the app.

At the end of your trial period, the first billing period begins and the amount listed on the app will be automatically charged. To avoid charges, cancel the subscription at least 24 hours before the trial period expires.

What happens to my shop’s stamp cards when my subscription expires?

Store information registered through the store management function will remain on the server for a certain period of time (several months) even after the subscription expires, and will then be deleted. At this time, the stamp cards of general users who obtained stamp cards at your shop will also be deleted.

If I restart my subscription, can I restore my data registered in the past?

If you restart your subscription within a certain period of time (several months) after your subscription expires, you can reuse your previous shop data as is. However, to reuse shop data, you will need to import the shop ID, so you will need to keep the shop ID in an area other than the app in advance.

If I subscribe on Android (Play Store), will I be able to use iOS apps as well?

No. The same is true vice versa.

Is there a management function on a PC or the web?

Not provided. Please use the management function from the smartphone app.

Is it possible to manage cards from the same shop on multiple smartphones?

Is possible. You can manage your shop from multiple smartphones by checking the “Shop ID” from the app where you first registered the store, and then “Register (import) the shop ID” using the app on the other smartphone. The original data is stored on our server, so changes or deletions made on one smartphone will automatically sync to the other smartphones.

If I purchase multiple subscriptions with overlapping terms, will one of them be canceled?

It will not be canceled. If the periods overlap, the subscriptions for each period will be charged separately, so please be careful not to forget to cancel the either one. You only need one subscription to use the paid features of the app.

What will happen to the registered shops and cards if I change the smartphone or reinstall the app?

Registered shop data will be lost on iOS. However, by saving the “Shop ID” displayed on the card reference screen for each shop in advance, and registering (importing) the shop ID from the newly installed app, you can update the shop data. It can be restored. 
On Android, the operation differs depending on the smartphone model and OS, and shop data may or may not be lost. Therefore, like iOS, you can save your “Shop ID” in advance and if it disappears after reinstalling, you can continue using it by restoring it.

How to Use

How to issue stamp cards

If a customer who does not have a stamp card scans the QR code on the Stampman posted in the store using the smartphone app, a new stamp card will be automatically created and the first stamp will be issued.

How to add stamps

Select the card for the target store from the “Store Manager” menu in the app, and post the QR code for stamp acquisitiondisplayed under “QR for Display” in the menu at the bottom of the screen inside the store. When a user scans this QR code from a smartphone app, one stamp will be given (issued).

If a user scans the QR code continuously, will they be able to obtain multiple stamps?

You can set the minimum interval (in minutes) between when a user obtains a stamp and when they can obtain the next stamp at the same store in the store administrator menu. If you set it too short, you will be able to obtain several stamps in a row in one visit. Please take into consideration the average length of stay of your customers and the interval between visits. The standard value (default) is 120 minutes, and you can specify up to 43200 minutes (30 days).

Are there two types of QR codes?

There are two types for each registered store: “For stamp acquisition” and “For stamp consumption.” Both can be obtained by selecting the target store’s card from the “Store Administrator” menu in the app and selecting “QR for bulletin board” in the menu at the bottom of the screen.

Is the QR code (for acquiring stamps) different for each store?

It varies by store. If you want to use a common stamp card at multiple stores, you can use it as a common stamp card for all stores by unifying the store registration in the app. 
Even if you change the store name or other store-based registration information, the “QR code for stamp acquisition” will not change.

What happens if you scan the QR code with a reader other than the Stampman app?

Is it possible to obtain or receive stamps if the smartphone communication signal cannot be received in the store?

This app requires a communication function and cannot be used.

Is it possible to decide the number of stamps that can be given at once?

Only one item is supported for all services and cannot be changed.

Is it possible to partially consume stamps and receive benefits even if the stamps are not full?

Is possible. For example, if the maximum number of stamps: 20 and the number of reward stamps consumed: 3 are set from the store administrator menu, and the user’s current number of stamps is 5, 3 stamps will be consumed (2 remaining) ) is possible.

How can I confirm that the customer has scanned the QR for stamp consumption?

Are payment and stamp grant linked?

You can earn stamps even while waiting in the store before paying. Therefore, if you post the QR code for stamp acquisition not only next to the cash register, but also on customer tables and counters, you can expect stress-free store operations.

I want to transfer the same number of stamps from my old paper card to a new card.

The function to add a large number of stamps at once is not supported.

I get an error saying “Stamps cannot be issued because the store’s stamp service is temporarily suspended.”

If you do not access the management menu from the app for a long period of time, the store information will be temporarily unavailable and you will not be able to earn or consume stamps. If you open the store administrator menu in an app with a valid subscription and display the list of stores in question, the temporary unavailability will be automatically canceled immediately.

I get the error “The stamp could not be processed due to an unexpected error”

If you try again and get the same error, there is a high possibility that the app is in an error state that is difficult to recover. Although it is not possible to recover the card from this state, please uninstall the app and install it again to use it. 
Alternatively, please submit the official website with your “Your ID” displayed in the “Other” menu of the app, the name of the store where you attempted to consume the stamp (the name displayed on the stamp card), and the approximate date and time of the QR scan . If you report the issue using the site inquiry form or the app’s “xxxxxx ”, the operator may be able to resolve the issue.

About printing and posting QR codes

There is a function to save the QR code for stamp acquisition and QR code for stamp consumption as an image within the app. Please have the store owner print this out and display it in the store.

What kind of app notifications encourage repeat visits?
